Heavier weight short sleeve jersey?

Looking for a slightly heavier weight jersey, not wool for spring rides.

Any suggestions? Just looking for club fit.

thx

What about your regular jerseys, and a baselayer?

Thats what Ive always done and it seemed to do the trick.

Any of the Rapha "classic" sportwool jerseys would work - I know you said no wool but these are wool based blend so have the temp range benefit with more durability and a non-itchy finish

How heavy are you talking?

The Castelli Gabba is a good choice but might be too heavy. You don't want wool, correct?

Stolen Goat has an Orkaan Jersey that's really great, but like the Gabba, might be too much. What kind of temps are you targeting?

consider a thermal vest. lots of companies make a nice lined/thermal vest and they do work well. then you can wear your favorite summer jersey with the vest.

just a thought.

I would just wear a regular weight short sleeve jersey and then a gilet on top.

I have a few of the Rapha “training” jerseys- these are definitely on the heavier side.

I usually opt for Rapha merino baselayers under my jerseys on cooler/wetter days. Works well, and I can shed it if I overdid it. I have several of the short-sleeved and sleeveless versions. When they went on sale for a good price, I usually picked up one or two.

Should of been more clear, I use my shirts for dual purposes, as i have an insulin pump. Use my shirts for paddling also. So scoot out for a ride, then back home work with pump in my pocket. I have good layering (like today) just looking for something for bit more too it than thin summer shirts.

One good thing about wool: Shirts still provide warmth even when wet. That MIGHT be a plus for paddling?

If you don't mind black as the dominant colour - the older style donkey label jerseys are thick.

Castelli Gabba or Perfetto.

Maybe not a club fit...

I have one of these that fits the description, club/tourist fit fits a little large, heavy material weight is like wool but it's not wool, comfortable not scratchy. Just one color (red). Cheap enough to give it away if you don't like it. I like it.
