I don’t think they were ever about tradition, ISPs aren’t exactly traditional and they’ve been present since the Corsa, maybe earlier.

I think more like “about functionality” (though the function of an ISP is of course debatable- I think mine looks sweet and haven’t had any issue with it but I don’t know that it makes the bike better). When I got my cx bike a couple years ago, it was the first thru axle Gaulzetti and Craig was open to the idea, provided it didn’t have an excessive effect on chainstay length, which he considered very important for the design of the bike. It didn’t, so I got a thru axle.

These pictures reminded me of 2 things:

1- I need to bring a set of campy skewers to the US to replace these LW ones
2- I need new knee warmers pronto
3- Yes this aerotack is uber cool

The first time I saw the Aerotack, my first thought was Harley Davidson from the AMF years. Either that or it's just Helvetica.

I have to say.. Lionel's 'zetti is super sweet Totally dig that paint job. I'm not usually a fade person but that is very well done.

Heard they ride amazing.

Me and a buddy stopped by Summer Cycles in Del Mar this weekend, HOLLY COW talk about eye candy.

Pretty much everything from the 2019 NAHBS Seven booth was at the shop, including the award wining Seven Scrambler, , Gaulzetti, Pegoretti, Campy Super Record EPS 12, Campy Bora WTO wheels, Tubular wheels and tires everywhere, PLUS so MUCH more

The new Gaulzetti Pavaix looks amazing, Craig and Jeff where very welcoming as they where preparing for their Paris-Roubaix trip they are going on with some customers. We tried to talk them into letting us watch over the shop while they where gone but I dont think its going to happen.

You can see a lot of in on their web site or Instagram account ......

For aero bikes, with these big tubes, I wonder how a small builder can get a definitive sense of what is actually a productive aero benefit before it becomes an aerodynamic drag. It's even more remarkable when you consider all the sizes.

I figure a big manufacturer can get lots of computer simulation (and maybe some of the smaller builders can too), but the wind tunnel testing has to be prohibitively expensive, no?

Mine'll be the one with eTap. Craig mentioned Jeff would probably get aorund to getting it together this weekend to send my way.

So if you saw a purple chromacolor one with eTap, that's the bike. Same paint scheme as Jeff's, but he went with EPS and discs.
