Transporting a bike with Di2
We're picking up a new tandem at the CoMotion factory in Eugene in a few weeks, then transporting it home to Tucson on a roof mounted rack. I expect we'll encounter some rain on the trip and am wondering if driving 70mph with a tandem exposed to to the elements at that speed will cause any issues with Di2. If so, is there anything I can do to mitigate those effects?

Di2 is probably the most water-resistant part of that bike. If you are really worried you can take out the battery and keep it inside your car while you drive, but I'd be more worried about the frame than the DI2.

You'll be fine. If it can survive on top of team cars in Grand Tours, it'll survive the US highway system.

I drove mine cross country through several storms this summer and no issues.
