Bike Storage visuals ideas requested
My bike habit blew up a bit this summer and now I need some suggestions on how to organize the quiver. I now have 3 bikes: Fat, Gravel and Road and each has 2 sets of wheels.
I'd love some suggestions and even better see how some of you are storing your toys. I have a portion of a potting shed to work with. Approximately 8'x10' for floor space with a little over 7' ceiling height. As I said in the subject line - visuals would be great inspiration thanks |

Between width of the wheels/tires and the weight, hard to do anything with a fatbike but leave it on the ground.
I've used something pretty similar to this in the past when I had the floor space, it was solid and being able to adjust the slots for tire width is nice. You could also add slots/cross rails to hold your spare wheels in between the bikes. https://www.singletracks.com/blog/un...-storage-rack/ |

Previous threads:
https://forums.thepaceline.net/searc...archid=4437608 I'm a big fan of these from lowes/home depot for hanging wheels. They work great for $6 each. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...1192/202305471 Pic: Bikes hang staggered just fine from a basic wall hook or something like this thing https://www.amazon.com/Dirza-Garage-...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== Last edited by kppolich; 10-24-2019 at 06:27 PM. |

Great ideas thanks and thanks for pointing out the numerous other times this topic has been covered. Looks like I have plenty of ideas to sift through.
cheers |

I think I've posted mine before--I have a small alcove across from the laundry, and used Velohinges so I could angle them in, and still get into the garage on the right, and the laundry room opposite.
I thought I had a picture of the full set installed--I managed to fit 4 across this small space, (fourth one will not fit a full bike with bars since it kind of has to tuck all the way in for garage door access.) The hinge lets you angle in into the wall. (I have plans to redo this, mounting the hinges and the back wheel pieces on wood to match the trim...) |

We have 7-8 bikes at anytime, and my wife and kid can't lift their bikes high enough to use a wall hanging solution. My 8yo and I built this over a weekend.
It takes up more than half of the length of a wall in the garage, but all the bike/scooter stuff fits there, and we hung pegboards over it to hang wheels, helmets, etc. We are pretty happy with it, and my kid got to use a mitre saw and drill some screws. Quote:
