I'm going to call an audible a few days ahead of time based on family schedule and weather, but I'm hoping to get down there again this year. It's always a good time.

I'll probably attend...no need for a table, though, I got rid of most of my excess stuff a few months ago before relocating to MD!

From their site:

“Is alcohol available (or allowed) at the SWAP?” Sorry, due to Carroll County Ag Center regulations and as per our event insurance policy, alcohol is not permitted at the SWAP. Sorry, no exceptions."

BUT, I've also seen people with beer, and of course, the soda can trick my space-neighbor shared with me last year lol

Hehehehe... in my case too, remember a forumite one year (i think he is not coming here no more) brought a whole cooler with small brewery brands that were the bomb

Well i think the 1st time they get a fight because of a drunk person, that will be the day they will enforce it more tightly.

Paceline, the kind of place where you buy one and get the 2nd for half off.

How is this? Never been and thinking of going. Worth an hour drive compared to browsing Paceline classifieds on my couch?

For an hour's drive? Just do it. You won't regret it. Some years are better than others - depending on what you-re looking for - but it's a pretty big show, and well worth what is otherwise less time than my commute to work!

1 hours away is not that bad... im like 45 mins away, the nice about the show is thati is in doors, but doesnt mean will be warm ok? The building is super cold, dont remember that thing to be close to warm ever, so dress acordingly, besides thats one of the reasons to get a table, you could have a place to leave the jacket in case it gets warm enough.

As all events, hit and miss... IME the 1st 3 times i went there was a miss badly and with the time got better, my best was like 4 years ago? with my friend pretty much we bought like 90% of somebody's table before the event opened to the public... and the rest 5% after the 1st hour Dude did not have too much but was just the right things for the right numbers. That seller left around 10am and somebody kidnapped that table for free and put their stuff in it :P

You never know what are you going to find, one year a dude showed up with a pallet full of campy UT cranksets, he was asking too much for the event, he sold a handfull of those. But impressive nevertheless, another year a dude showed up easy with 10k worth of NOS campagnolo parts, the problem is that everything was odd...he wanted money for everything, for the whole lot, which makes the sell way harder but if you think about it since some of the parts were odd was the best for him IMO, dont remember that sold at all, not that is just and carry 11k in your pocket and doubt the dude was taking checks (i would not). Maybe that stuff will make it back again this year, if it does will be impressive to see that again because takes way too much space to do not notice, Insane would be a better word.

A lot of stuff going on before the event starts... one forumite for example last year Ithink brought a really weird NOS mint de rosa specifically for a buyer, that bike had a deal going on way before the start of the show.

Sure everybody that had been there remember weird things they saw past years...

Thanks for info guys. Now to choose between my regular Sunday morning ride or browsing parts for a bike I didn’t think I needed

I was thinking about coming to this from jersey but I didnt get a table (sold out) and the three hour head start that you get as a vendor makes it seem pointless otherwise?
