Hopefully no more (2.3mm) cassette spacers that are prone to cracking.

I will convert to 9 sp. Everytime the industry adds another cog i will subtract from my wheels and be happy.
I am still on 8sp on my mtb and never ever think about more cogs.
I want better tires, better wheels, better frame geometry. I don´t want amother cog.
I don´t need better braking but better and affordable wheels. I want tubulars not tubeless.

You don't look at your parts when racing or riding hard. If they work well, that's all that matters.

That said, the rear derailleur seems to stick out very far. I wouldn't have signed off on that. It already takes a couple cues from Shimano's latest; it should have also looked at the Shadow design.

I actually like the new crank. I like how big and beefy it is. I can't stand the current 4 arm. To me it's not a well developed design. That said, I prefer my 2014 SR crank over either design.

To me 12 speed is kind of pointless, but I'm looking forward to the updated rear derailleur, looks great.

Actually, being a bike snob I look at my parts a lot!! I ride hard and you're right I do want them to work well. But they need to look nice too. This stuff, especially the brakes and rear derailleur are just hideous. Especially that derailleur.

Yuck. It looks like it was designed by FSA Skunk Works.

I'm sure it works great, but I'm not a fan of the look. To me, it lacks the refinement of the previous generation. This new stuff has a "prototype" look to it.

Oh no, that's an unfortunate looking crank.

this new group just makes me feel grouchy. Newfangled stuff, makes me want to just shake my cane in the air angrily.

Thankfully I have some nice five arm groups with rim brakes to look at to make me smile even though there are two less gears.

I'm all for the 12 spd kit. Nice tight gearing for hammering flats and rollers plus massive 29 to climb a cliff for hours.

POTD.

BTW, the classic five arm cranks work just fine with 11 spd drivetrains.

With 12 spd, who knows...
