Sea Otter...Dan walked me through the high level non-mechanic version of whats different BUT since the bikes were mounted to the the display via the crank arm I could not experience the feeling of shifting it.

I can definitely see why the new RD design makes people gag relative to the legacy designs BUT given all that is going on with RDs now both road and mtb, I have to say it wasn't as bad as pictures especially if implemented on a carbon sloped frame.

My opinion, of course.
Just wait till you see the wireless disc brakes.

Chorus 12spd will be released in 18mths

I wonder if announcing 12s now might force dealers to "clearance" a lot of 11s stuff well before 12s is even available.
But then again I don't see too many places inventorying much Campy stuff or bikes so equipped.
I guess now the clock is ticking loudly(?).

I would buy the crap out of 2015+ 11 speed campy if on heavy sale. That stuff is great.

I've heard some bike shops say that there are distributors offering Campy 11 cheaper that's for sure...

Super record 12 is available now.
Fondled it today, seems nice. A bit flat looking without the 3k Carbon. Graphics are very subdued.
Ergonomics have changed. Ergo levers look and feel bigger, lever blades are wider.
Rear mech cage is huuuuge , brakes look terrible in real life.
Crank looks pretty good surprisingly.

However next to 11sp super Record it pales in comparison.

The graphics/logos/text really lets it down IMO; worse than the SRAM stuff.

I could really use a good deal on an 11 speed group. Hopefully price drops are in the near future.

A few places in the US have some now. Coming into the market faster than originally thought. QBP should have some in next couple of weeks. No riders in Giro using it but expect a couple in TdF...mechanical, back to the future.

Once again, with even more, much more, feeling:

Campagnolo aesthetics have always been extremely elegant; this iteration is instead absolutely atrocious.

So we're all just forgetting Campy 80th's clipart typeface and font didn't happen?

Again, people seem to think Campy froze in amber around 1985 aesthetically. They've made some good looking logos and some terrible looking ones.

The new ones are growing on me, though I wish they'd just gone with a typical capital R in Record and Super Record.
