Video from yesterday's Miesville FiftySix gravel grinder. I was on my fattie as it's the only bike I have that's suitable for these conditions. I think I'm sold on getting a gravel bike after this ride. There appears to be considerably more speed for the same amount of effort.

Murphy Hanrehan is a single track park 6 miles from me. It consists of 10+ miles of hilly trails. I was oblivious to this other world of cycling until a little more than 6 years ago when I bought my first fat-bike. What a treat it's been for me to add this type of riding to my regimen.

There are only two things I look for when it comes to riding:

Fun factor

Calories burned.

Anything else, I could care less.

I too often take the same roads I'm comfortable with, where I know every pothole and what to expect. I rode with some guys yesterday who are much better at seeking out roads less traveled. I now have some different routes to add to my list of favorites!
