I don't think so - his typing isn't jittery enough to be a real squirrel.

I'm guessing that Mr Squirrel is an actual person. But that's just a guess.

You know, Mr. Squirrel, I'm really sorry and with all due respect and all that, but that ridiculous fake horse-hat on your squirrel-head unfortunately reminds me of this Ozzy Osbourne statement regarding "Buckethead":
