I've got a keg of my Porter on tap. Turned out great. All the musicians are draining it quickly.
Also on tap a nice California Ale. Think of a kinder gentler Sierra Nevada. not so hoppy.

Have a Dead Guy clone in the fermenter and after that's kegged I'm planning on a real German Maibach. But that takes a good 5 weeks in the fermenter.

I discovered this when I visited Minneapolis last year. Rather inexpensive and darker than the picture. Good beer.....

The resulting product is a relatively dry and delicious beverage that has no resemblance to the Mike's crap you might see at your market.
Good luck.
Thanks for this. Your neighbor's cider must be wonderful stuff, starting with fresh local apples. Have not brewed beer or anything else, but have worked in a creamery, so I understand cleanliness and temperature requirements. The patience part will be hard...

Treated myself to a Rochefort 10 as well. Killed the remaining credit on the LBS (local beer store) gift card that one of my kids got me for my birthday.

I'm not sure what people are saying... I really like it very smooth. It's a little peaty if that's your bag. I happen to really enjoy peat in my scotch. It's a little less than Oban, more along the lines of Balvenie but better.

better hurry up as they are about to transition from using the old stocks to the new stocks - will be interesting to see if if/how the flavour profile changes.
