Where does Scott Quiring stand in the pecking order of Ti builders?

I'm giving him build a Ti road frame for me. He's on the low end of the cost spectrum.

I don't know where he stands in the pecking order, but I owned one of his stainless steel frames for a while and had zero complaints. It seemed very well made and rode great (even though it wasn't built specifically for me).

As far as I know Scott has a great reputation. I've never ridden one of his bikes but have seen a handful in the wild. Seem to be very well made and well regarded. Not the most popular Ti builder in the U.S. but he's been building frames for many years now. I'd have zero trepidation buying one of his bikes. He was a heck of a racer back in the day too.

Long time reader but do not post very often. Have to jump in here as I have had him build me several Ti frames over the years ( since 2011) and I still have them all. I have a rim brake road bike, a gravel bike and a drop bar mountain bike based off the general geometry of a Salsa Cutthroat. All are excellent frames. I am a big guy at 6’7” and 250 lbs on a good day. He nailed each bike for the intended purpose. I would say built for strength given my size but not over built so that the ride quality suffers. Scott has been a straight shooter with me and just an overall pleasure to work with. Hope this helps put you at ease.

I had Scott build me a steel SS 29er years ago. He’s a good guy and Michigan (Iceman) racing legend. I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with him discussing details and just talking bikes.

You should really look at Bishop,Moots, or No 22. Buy the bike with the best looking stack of dimes.

Quiring is too in-expensive to be any good.
