Serotta "Big Dig"

On ebay. Seller of this one writes, "IF YOU'RE A COLLECTOR OF RARE BIKES, THIS IS IT.
WE ARE SELLING ON BEHALF OF THE ORIGINAL BUYER WHO LIVED AND WORKED IN BOSTON IN THE LATE 90s.

THE BIG DIG WAS MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE 2000 MESSINGER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 1998. WE'RE ARENT SURE IF 20 WERE MADE OR 20 IN EACH SIZE FOR A MAX OF 100.

EITHER WAY, IT'S RARE. VERY RARE. IT'S BEEN CUSTOM PAINTED AND IS READY FOR IT'S NEXT OWNER!!"

Serotta or not, that seems like a lot for a used fixie. I guess I am not the target audience.

Congratulations!

Love the bike and the vintage nature of your find!
I just reclaimed a serotta big dig I also found on eBay
Back in the day and had loaned to my daughter!
Just rode it around the block…more miles to come I am sure!

It’s a fresh pick up from storage this past year/raw in the flesh!
I’ve got some ideas about bringing back to life
The original drivetrain/dura ace wheelset,
Drop bars, pedals, etc…or leaving it set up as a
Campus cruiser…St Olaf, Stanford and Nebraska!
