What's up with the Black & Red Phonac bikes

Just curious why the Phonak BMC machines are painted black and red this year. It doesn't match their team green and yellow color scheme and it is a change from last years bike colors. Are these the colors of another one of their sponsors?

This year...

Last year...

Interesting....red certainly is a prevalent color on BMC's website. It isn't a little unusual for a bike sponsor to use their own colors on a Division I sponsored team? That is unless the bike sponsor was the title sponsor as well.

I guess BMC could be a significant sponsor of Team Phonac and wanted a little more exposure for their contribution.

Phonak and BMC are both owned by the same person, IIRC.

i also believe that this year's bikes are new models, different from last year's. the new paint helps distinquish that these are new models, in theory spurring new sales.

Hang on tight to your wallet e-MAN I bought some magic elixer from climb that was supposed to make my hair grow back. It was only black spray paint.

What's with the red shoe covers?

Guess these must be considered part of the bike now, rather than the team kit.
