Last I read Marty was working at Boston Dynamics, they're the folks that make the creepy robot dogs.

1x Etap?

Love this. What’s the ratio you are running (is it 1x12?).
And how does it do on the roadie-ish stuff?

Yep 1x12

42t up front and I believe a 36t cassette in back even though sram claims 34t max.

In true race spirit, I would award extra points for

- 46/39 or similar half - step type front ratio
- tubulars, 33mm max
- no water bottles
- no cages (it looks like this one holliscx posted ^^ doesnt even have bosses)
- no bags or other appendages. No garmin

Is the max tire size still in force? Only UCI? How quaint. Makes me think of the prohibition on deraileurs in the Tour.

As someone who never raced cross, I will say there is some nostalgia here for a time in my cycling life when NE cyclocross was a big part of the culture.

Just fun to look at. The days before disc brakes, electronic shifting and hydraulic hoses stole the spirit of CX and marketeerers snuffed out the flame of the handbuilt racing machine.

Happy Friday!
