Steve how about Central Coast? If you need to be near ocean, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach, etc are supreme location for riding.

Thanks for the suggestion! We still have elderly family in Marina Del Rey, so we want to be relatively close to them. Oxnard seemed like a good compromise. Great weather, by the beach and a marina and great cycling close by.

Well, it HAS been 30 years but I lived in Camarillo for 2 years(flew outta Pt Mugu)and loved the riding out of there..PCH, over to Oxnard, all the way to Santa Monica...to Zuma beach, Malibu..always interesting....When I had a MTB..rode up where they filmed MASH...
