That was frickin’ wild. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed Safa's commentary (and riding skills / balls, obviously).

I like speed, but not in traffic, and certainly not big city crazy traffic. The downhill looks like fun, but being that I live in flatland, I would need a lot of work on my descending at speed skills.

His skills are what they are and good for him. The problem is he endangers less skilled and slower cyclists who may be descending ahead of him and upon whom he may come up suddenly.

Safa's KOM chasing and daredevil descending on open roads is problematic. And he's spawned a few similar channels. I've been avoiding some of these roads for the reason stated above.

I have no issue with Safa, but yes, the copycat channels are problematic.

Descending Mt Hollywood like that on what looks like a busy weekend is not cool. At least Safa restricts his rides to much quieter times.

Seems like a bad branding idea for Scott to sponsor this. Who are they seeking to influence?

I am not endorsing what he does but I know that if I'm climbing any of those roads (which I do, with regularity) I would much rather encounter Safa descending than the guys on longboards.

it's always something.

It does't change how I feel about the skills involved, the filming etc. I stand impressed.

My opinion does't disqualify anyone else's. I'm not preaching.

When I lived in Sardinia, there were some great descents on the north end of the island. I used km/hr on my computer and hit 100 a few times. On one road, I was hugging the yellow line in a blind hairpin when a car appeared in front of me doing the same. I leaned over further expecting to slide but didn't. It got my attention. I was a little more conservative after that.

I've seen bad crashes on descents, almost all have been the cyclist's fault, either overcooking a corner, or swerving to miss oncoming traffic.

But sure, let's lionize a guy giving the rest of us a bad name with wildly irresponsible descending.
Totally with Flash. 100 percent. The guys in this video were douchebags. Almost took out some hikers and a dog: https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=262680

It's the same guys(s)? Maybe they should rename the video "Pray for Brains."

This guy is an asshole. Straight up. He's busy pontificating about how cycling needs to be less about the rules, blah, blah, blah... How about following a few basic norms such as not weaving in and out of double yellow lines, such as in the screen shot above.

What a ****wad.
