Any issues flying with disc brakes?

Planning on a trip later this year and was hoping to bring my disc brake bike.
Any issues flying with a disc brake vs rim brake packed in a bike case ?

Rotors

I have seen bent rotors. A pre-emptive move is to remove rotors from wheels.

After what Chris Froome said I would never fly with discs.

I you have to play it safe and take them off first.

For what it's worth, most large planes nowadays land with disc brakes.

Yes, remove discs. And RD too. Put the thru axle back in as a measure of protection.

be careful when you're flapping your arms

not to cut your fingers on the rotors.

Just remember to use XTR rotors instead of Dura-Ace to avoid overweight charges

If you remove the rotors as people are mentioning, then brandish them in a maniacal manner within the plane itself, you are bound to grab the attorney of security folks. But that was obvious.

Seriously, I have almost forgotten what its like to fly, let alone go somewhere with a bike, on a vacation! Is this a sign that you expect things to be 'normal' later this year .??

The thru axles aren't really going to offer any protection. You need to protect the forks and rear dropouts from inward pressure.

I had no issues at all. I did remove the rotors, put the spacers in the calipers and all was good.

I was using post carry bag.

Are there products out there designed to provide this type of protection?

I looked, and haven't been able to find anything that's marketed as such.
The closest I've found is conversion spacers designed to allow the use of 15mm hubs on bikes designed for 12mm thru axles.

Thanks,

Chris

the discs will pierce the container and sever the wing off the airplane this is dangerous and can bring down a dreamliner so fast and also nearby airplanes could get damaged by the disc brakes too
