1998 Serotta CRT

Well, my steel Cramerotti died when the derailure hanger snapped. Not worth the cost to fix it so I started cruising the classifieds and well, like only the paceline can deliver I found a bike that I had always wanted. A Serotta CRT (Colorado Rapid Tour) that hilltoperny was selling. BTW, great guy to deal with. Basically a Colorado/Atalanta with longer seat stays, lower BB (8cm of drop), room for wider rubber and, braze ons for fenders and a rack. The perfect commuter and light tourer. Swapped over the parts from the dead commuter. Mixture of 1st gen record 8sp Ergos, record 10 cranks, newer campy non-level Dual Pivots, mirage long cage RD, TB14s on Dura Ace 7700 hubs etc... For a 21 year old bike it is on great shape, no rust, some nicks and zero corrosion in the tubes. Handles like a dream. Longer wheel base and lower BB make it stable and very predicable without being sluggish.
