Like they say it’s 90% mental and the other 90 % is physical.

What’s cool is he did it to help raise awareness of mental illness. Too bad they didn’t make that more prominent in the story.

Watch the entire 8-hour YouTube video of the plank. Very exciting athletic content.

And consider the hours training to build up to 8 hours. That's a lot staring at a mat!

Point of parliamentary procedure. How does a 62 year old man go 8 hours without taking a leak?

Or was he rigged up a la Burt Reynolds in Semi Tough?

You seem to have missed the tube exiting his shorts.

You can see the catheter in at least one of the pictures.

Edit: Looks like C-Did beat me to it.

I am 62, and I can hold a plank long enough to move it to the jointer and back from where it was before that.

Not to be too insensitive but it seems you have to have some sort of mental issues to even attempt this kind of record. I can't even imagine standing still, in one place, for 8 hours.
At least he didn't kill himself in a rocket to prove the Earth is flat!

That's worse then riding the indoor trainer. I think you would have to be a Zen master to do something like that.

I don't think I could hold a plank for even 8 minutes do I am suitably impressed. 4 minutes I can do, maybe 5.
