I may be going Red with Rival shifters if I can get my hands on everything else, as this is better looking than Force.
The Red and Force AXS hydraulic hoods are hideous & not much better than the Shimano RS505. Granted you don't see them when you're riding the bike but every image I see makes me cringe. Sram must have received enough feedback to have these new Rival hoods angle down in the front.

they are not awesome but nothing is worst than the RS505.

Yeah the shifter shape is much more svelte than previous eTap HRD, which is a positive for a lot of people.

While the eTap HRD and RS505 might've been aesthetically lacking in practice with my larger hands then worked great, especially for the rougher stuff. But GRX Di2 still takes the cake for overall comfort and security.

Rival AXS will indubitably cannibalize sales from Force AXS since it's not that much heavier and looks better.

Getting single-sided power for +39g and $240 retail is pretty nuts tho.

wonder where this stuff is being manufactured and if sram has a plan to expedite production and shipping?

my guess is this will be wildly popular, but just like ekar, all that excitement starts to fade when endless delays lead to real world availability deficits.

I've been running Force AXS mechanical levers with TRP Spyres on my crit bike, but the revised hood shape and price point on these convinced me to pull the trigger on the move to hydro.

I don't recall there being too many stock issues with Red or Force AXS, especially compared to Shimano, so doubt that it'll reach the depths of EKAR invisibility.

Also, not being manufactured in Italy and Romania can only help the timeline/availability.

Quick side question. Is the reach adjust on those only the brake lever and the shifter paddle moves in tandem closer or farther?

Correct. There's only one adjustment option, so the shift lever moves in tandem with the brake lever.

so, there is no option for 42t cassette and derailleur? I guess this is where the 'mullet' Rival / Eagle GX comes into play, right?

I would like a 36t ring / 11-42c cassette combo...
