I sold a few bikes over FB Marketplace this past year.

Overall, the actual transactions were fine. Just like craigslist, you have to sort through the messages. Mute the ones that don't sit well with you and pursue the others.

I have also bought a few things with no problems whatsoever, other than going to weird or slightly sketchy locations.

All cash deals.

Yes, and the pdf of the magazine you sent me. The guy who bought it is a bike shop guy, they knew what they were getting. He and his GF are just about the same size as my wife and I.

And for some reason theyre really pressing the "Ships to you" listings. So I see a ton of stuff I want, but some of it is across the country even though I only put in a filter for only showing me stuff within 100 miles of me.
True, but filtering with FILTERS --> DELIVERY METHOD --> LOCAL PICKUP solves that problem.

Besides Steel Is Real and Italian Vintage Bikes, are there other FB groups to list the Casati in?

True dat--but it only holds the setting for one specific search, and can't be set on the on the first screen 'Recommended for You"--which always includes a bunch of 'ship to' stuff.

And even when you set it to local pickup, you still get "ship to" listings, along with stuff that bears no resemblance to what you are searching for.

I'm pretty sure the randomness is deliberate--trying to sell more product but it is pretty d*mned annoying.
