I've no experience with personal injury lawyers but know plenty of divorce attorneys.

I'm not a personal injury attorney (criminal defense currently), but the best thing you can do if possible... at the scene of the incident, get pictures of everything as soon as possible, names and phone numbers (and tag numbers!) of possible witnesses even if they say they didn't see anything. And if you're in a city or town, especially business area, look for security cameras. And don't wait or expect the police to do this for you.

On the security cameras, you need to get your lawyer to secure the footage ASAP. It's typically erased in under two weeks.

I know attorneys in Atlanta if you need help here.

I'll add to this - if you are involved in a bicycling accident and have the slightest inkling that you might need a lawyer -- talk with one sooner rather than later. Maybe even if you think you don't need one.

Many lawyers give initial consultations without charge - enough to help you decide if you need counsel and if that lawyer is the right one to help you. A phone call early on might be very helpful in the long run.

What if the attorney rides sram tho

Which attorney to recommend is entirely dependent on severity but if anyone needs a Bay Area recommendation hit me up. Ive done work for a lot of them and have an inside look at which ones are successful

Taz's and HenryA's advice i think are a clear and solid justification for having a thread like this.
"as soon as possible" requires having someone you trust on hand.

In the Boston area there's Josh Zisson. https://bikesafeboston.com/

No affiliation and haven't had to use him, fortunately.

Joe Piscitello in Philly-he and I worked together for a few years. Masters cross racer extraordinaire and a mench.

In other areas, I'd use the Bike Law network.

Bikelaw.com. Luckily I have not needed a lawyer but this looks like a place to start.

I hear that the law offices of Dewey Cheatum & Howe are pretty good. They are located near Harvard Square in MA.

Payne and Fears

Consolation prize to Low, Ball & Lynch

I once picked up a pen from Payne & Fears so I could give it to someone who also appreciated the name.

The attorney I was referred to for my accident was pretty good. His name is Eric Stravitz and he is based in MD. I was very happy to have him work on my case and I never had to talk to any insurance company personnel through the whole ordeal and the outcome was excellent.

I agree with posters above that if ones is involved in an accident, talk to a lawyer and take advantage of their free initial consultation. A good attorney will not take a case if there isn't a decent chance that they can win or get compensation on your behalf.
