It has been unusually rainy here in the rain forests of Central Pennsylvania. I'm riding a 1000 km brevet next week. Looks like there might be scattered thunderstorms the whole time. In general, I wish it was a little warmer overnight, I would like to get up early and ride, but I have trouble doing that if it's cold enough that I feel compelled to wear leg warmers

Is the midwest cursed or all more of you sharing in this?
Since you live in Indiana like myself, you know the weather changes every hour in this horrible state.

46 degrees at 7 am.. ugghhhh

Here in Alabama, we've had a run of days with highs around 75 with low humidity and overnight lows in the 50s. It was quite the treat after the early heatwave we had a few weeks ago.

Tell ya what my 10 mile commute home last night was impressive. I hardly had to pedal and averaged 19.8MPH with a tail wind pushing me the whole way home.

47deg this morning when i woke up. Last week I put all my sweaters and winter cloths away!

I don't know what this means.

Actually did ride yesterday. The coolness of a 61 degree day in mid-June was not much of a factor, unless I thought about the injustice of it all (joking of course).

The wind was angry. Head wind and tail wind was not terrible because each was predictable. Side winds were tough. Got pushed around a lot, and when the wind is gusty and not steady, it makes matters challenging.

It wasn't my favorite ride of all time, but it felt good having done it afterward.

Today the forecast shows 75F as a high. I'll take it, surely. It's still below average and we have had TONS of rain this season. It's been an odd year for weather.

***orecast is a funny weather app that may be useful to sum up some of the crappy weather we have here in the Chicago area. Below are two screen shots from different times of the day today...

I don’t know how unusual it is; but I’m sitting in my hotel bar in Reddding CA where the temp is hovering at 105 degrees right now.

There is a record setting high of 109 predicted for tomorrow; the hotel staff tell me. My goodness [nor]norcal - it’s effing hot up here!
