Jet stream is meandering south, bringing colder weather to mid-west and east.

Daughter #1's elementary school and most of our neighborhood is without power after a tree limb came down on some overhead lines this morning. It's not particularly windy today either. It had been about 6 months since our last proper outage so I guess we were due. Most of this week has been great though, highs in the 70s and low humidity.

Finally lots of nice days, but seems cool overall in Boston.
I'm wearing long sleeves / arm warmers / jackets more, and later, this spring.

Annnnd... it's raining again. Club ride cancelled.

Every time I washed my 4Runner last month it snowed within two days. It's staying dirty for another week.

Here in NY it's been freaking wet and cold this whole spring! We will get 1 or 2 good days to dry out a little then it's right back to several days of gloom and wet weather.

It was 107F with 5% humidity yesterday. June is really our hottest month. I moved here last August and only saw a handful of days >100F. It's Arizona at 4000 feet.

Same issue with rain here in Chicago-land. Every time I even think about washing my car it rains. I stupidly put a new bar on my bike and wrapped it with white tape and then went for a ride. I was rewarded for my stupidity by a ride in a thunderstorm.

Michigan

It's been pretty bad here. I think we've hit 80 degrees 3-4 times so far. Near record low high temps today. And more rain. Lake Michigan is nearly three feet above average and the news is saying it will pass it's all time record high level any day now. I have not turned on my air conditioner or sprinkler system once this year and it's mid June. Unheard of, even for Michigan. My morning ride tomorrow I will likely have my thicker arm and knee warmers on. Ridiculous. As bad as it seems I feel for those that have been clobbered by all of the tornadoes. Losing everything is far worse than a 53 degree day. But it has been frustrating. Matthew

82 degrees in northern Colorado - the warmest day all year. It's about time - May really sucked. We have a chance of afternoon showers frequently. Get your ride in early, but not too early since lows are still in the fifties.

For the most part, summer in Colorado is wonderful, but about a month too short.
