Your right Keith, it is a 97. It has a Serotta 25th anniversary sticker on it. It isn't an anniversary special but was built in 97. Post is edited.

That's not a picture you see every day. BTW, are you sure yours is from '96? The '96 catalog shows all but the smallest sizes were long "L" which would be indicated in your serial number. My guess is that this is newer than '96.
that must make mine an 04 then, too.
that's nice to know.
i bought it new, old stock...
...55x55...

spiderman -- BTW, did you realize that this has custom geometry...which is what the first "C" in "CCS" indicates.

i was told it was a custom frame
but also that it was a stock geometry
so have always been confused by those terms.
when i had it built
my lbs owner said
it was as if it were
my custom measurements!
so even though it wasn't custom built for me
intentionally...
...it seems so practically...

It could be something other than the TT/ST lengths making it custom. Chainstays, angles, HT, bb drop come to mind. My '02 catalog says 55cm road geometry was:
73/73 angles, 55/55 st/tt, 41 cs, 8cm drop

Custom is a lot more than geometry. Could be stock geometry with different tubing choices to give a particular ride or match the style of the rider it was made for.

I don't think it has a serial number; it is in Seattle boxed to be shipped to AZ for the winter and I will check again when I open it.
THIS is the very LAST CSi made.

Built by Kelly Bedford for Kelly.

I rode this bike and it does NOT get any better.

You sir, have a true piece of History.

This pictures do not do this bike justice.

CSi CS 56L 513

An older pic with deep drop Cinelli handlebars and DT shifters. Didn't stick with the deep drops for long.

Okay, the bike should make it to AZ next week and I think I will be there for a couple of days to ride and maybe take some better photos.

CS 57 817 Revisited

Another photo of my CSI, this time at home in NH instead of hanging on a crane in Port Angeles.
