Serotta Ottrott XC

My Ottrott XC now with 27.5 wheels. Purchased here on the forum years ago, I have had it for a while now and still hit the singletrack with it on a regular basis. Perhaps obsolete by today’s standards, it is still a sublime ride...

Wow that is amazing and not obsolete by any means IMHO. Very nice and looks like it would fit. Long shot I'm sure but if you ever end up passing it along drop me a note. I will be looking at this one for awhile.

Not many of these out in the wild! Very cool! I assume that the frame was made for 26” wheels—nice that you can get 27.5” wheels on the frame. Love the Lefty, too!

Holy s#%t that is awesome. Did not know these were even made. So cool. Has to be only a few of them on earth. And not obsolete either. You've got the larger wheels that has apparently revolutionized mountain biking! !!! Was the frame built for 26in. wheels? Instantly one of my favorite bikes on the forum. Matthew

Seems pretty current based on the below from Firefly, you should post it in the Mixed Materials bike thread .......

It was the first Lefty all-road bike that Firefly built. Shortly after they built this one, they built an all-ti one for Jamie, and I've seen at least one other on the interweb (the Klein fade homage).

I rode it last summer at D2R2. Not sure if you were there, but here it is:

Thank you sir...indeed pretty rare, I know there one somewhere in germany and a prototype with softtail exists, otherwise it’s pretty elusive. Love the look and feel of the lefty...looks great on your firefly as well

Thanks Matthew. Yes, it was originally built for 26” wheels. I have a 2.1” schwalbe racing ralph in the rear with ample clearance. The lefty obviously allows me to go bigger up front, might try a 2.4” tire sometime

From a materials standpojnt yes, als the quality of the machining is stunnjng...

It’s just that although in it’s one of the fastest mountainbikes I’ve ridden whilst climbing... I consistently get my *ss kicked on technical downhill sections by bike with bigger tires and more travel...

It sure is! Really flies uphill, on rougher descents the 29ers do appear to have the edge though...
