Pat DiNizio, The Smithereens Lead Singer, Dies at 62

One of my favorite bands, saw them countless times when they came into Texas. https://www.thewrap.com/pat-dinizio-...inger-dies-62/ If you had watched youtube videos from this year he had lost the ability to play guitar. The original bassist Mike Mesaros had come back to play with them a few last times. the music of my youth. RIP

oddly, my mother posted this on facebook and the image had him wearing a Mavic cycling cap... fashionable, or also a cyclist?

Our musicans keep dying yet members of Congress seem to live to an average age of 127 years old.

That sucks. Saw them a bunch of times. Bass line from "Behind the Wall of Sleep" is still a monster. RIP.

Another one gone... Long time fan but never got to see the band live. Have all the early stuff on LP save for the first EP, going to have to dust off the turntable.

A shame, one of my favourite bands. Pat DiNizio was one of my first and best interviewees.
