I've liked these bikes also. The site doesn't seem to show how to buy in the US. Did you find a way?

Your LBS can order via North American Cycles. I was looking into an EXT+ and it was no problem.

they look like low-end spec 4130 bikes.

what sets these apart from any of the bikesdirect offerings?

Just slightly nicer aesthetics... And certainly less common.
I'm looking for a commuter bike setup for which I have to put on a bus bike rack to get into San Francisco... Gets banged around and if it were to fall off I wouldn't cry to hard.
I like the sliders and overall build choices... low spec, but smart.

They seem like more style than innovation, but at least you’d get reminded of this every time you left the garage: https://youtu.be/kfbwbwXNenw

Oh, and there’s a promo video of a guy riding the Haute Route Alps on one of their rigs, so it can’t be all that bad... (found the dude annoying AF, but scenery is nice). https://youtu.be/FdKXYzILt0o

I first saw them getting hype for some reasonably priced and well spec'd adventure rigs.

Great RATM blast from the past.

Tom had a great Instagram ownage last week (warning political content)

Bought an Arise... For a great price on Amazon.
It's way nicer than a surly or bikes direct type bike... I'd definitely vouch for initial quality.
