That is not an ugly Seven, and it also doesn't have the huge headtube that Seven seems to always spec.

Due to the fact that they are more concerned with fitting the rider than just looking like a pro-race bike.

I can appreciate the look of the painted lugs, but would have much rather seen it like yours Karl with the Ti raw lugs.

Thx

This bike does look pretty cool and fast just sitting there.

It's good to know that Seven is the #1 builder for people with askew proportions, just as Zinn is the #1 builder for tall folks.

Check out bike photos on Tom Kellogg’s Spectrum site. You will see a lot of frames with tall HTs. Tom surely knows how to fit a person to a bike. Once you have a seat height and figure out where the bars need to be for a proper fit, you just connect the dots. Often that means tall head tubes or lots of spacers or positive rise stems. I think a taller HT is the best option. Far too many just want to look like a pro and slam the stem and then spend all their time on the hoods.

The older I get, the more I love the large headtube...May look odd but my body appreciates it on long rides. Comfort over looks for this old man!
