Dano:

35 on the W&OD sounds good. Where would you like to start from? Also, what gear will you be using?

I think that I will be able to ride. It would be a definite except that my mother-in-law is coming home for the weekend, from a nursing home. I will try to arrange the weekend schedule so that I can make it, especially if it is not too early.

I will get intouch with SC53 and Rapid Tourist to see if they might be interested in riding.

I will have a multi-geared bike, which I assume is allowed.

Sandy, Znfndl and others

Does 2PM sound good? I'm open to suggestions on the starting place. If folks are driving to the start, there are numerous places to park, starting at the Roosevelt Island access lot and going west. We just need to agree on one. I'll nominate my house, which is in Arlington, right off Spout Run, because it's easy for me, easy to find if folks are driving, and has facilities for those who might want them. It's about a mile from the trail. But if there's something more centrally located for the group--say in Falls Church or wherever--I'm glad to meet there.

So: feel free to nominate an alternative, or to PM me for directions.

Gearing: I'm going with 44/16.

If I am through with my cub scout duty that sounds good. I will probably ride from my house and meet you on the W&OD or Custis. I guess you start on the Custis and then go the W&OD?

Hi! please ask again because I'd love to join you all on my new-to-me fixed bike (I've only ridden it about 5 times), but Sat I already have a ride planned in Frederick. Would love a raincheck!

I probably won't be able to make it on Saturday, but keep me posted for future events. Thanks for posting.

Sure, rainchecks to all who would like them. This is an easy event to restage.
