Advice on side loading water cage please
I’m looking to get a side loading cage. Does anyone have a recommendation for one that holds securely? Material doesn’t matter. Thanks!

I got my wife a set of the Arundel sideloading cages. She likes them. I tried one on my MTB and it wasn’t secure enough with a Camelback bottle. For the road, though, it’s solid. I have the one I got for my MTB if you want. It’s carbon. I used it once. It has some scratching on the inside of the cage as it was wert and gritty the day I used it in the mud.

I’ve tried a few and so far the SKS Slide Cage has been the best. I was worried the plastic would get brittle in the cold, but no issues so far.

I’m using the Arundel Carbon side loader with a specialized purist bottle on my mtn bike and haven’t had a problem

+1 on the Arundel side load carbon cages. Very secure, but not cheap.

+ whatever.
I use CamelBak insulated bottles that lack the shoulder cut out so they tend to depth charge out of regular cages. The Spec top and side load cages have never failed me, even when using the larger size insulated bottles. It's a bit tight at first, tugofwar with the bottle, but once it's a few rides old it's good. Relative cheap. I've had the one that I need for the black bike since 2011? And the regular top loads from 2010-2011. |

My wife has the Specialized one and it's been fine.
I should get something like that for the rear cage on my Trek Domane.. it is somewhat problematic with a vertically loading cage. |

Specialized Zee cage hasn't lost a bottle off road (yet). I'm a fan.

Considered giving one of these a go, inexpensive and a different look, kind of like a side loading "King" where a carbon fibre cage just does not look correct.
Thought they looked OK on this Stinner

I saw on FB that king cage is coming out with a side loading bottle cage. I know everyone likes KC (as do I)
