post-influenza ride (cough)
Nothing like getting back on your bike to help you feel better.
Maybe it was losing 6 lbs (in a week) that made the hills seem easier... or simply comparing climbing into a cold northwest breeze vs days of shivering miserably in your bed. Nice to have some sweating that is unrelated to illness. Last time I rode a bike not on rollers was almost two months ago. Pre-polar vortex. Felt good. Awfully good.

Oh, man. I had the flu twice between Dec-Jan recently - different strains. Dr. told me Chronic Stress. I lost 10 lbs myself. I know how you feel. I will get a flu shot next year.....

Think I got that H3N2 going around and just getting over it. I did get a flu shot, but I read this strain is less likely to be covered by the vaccine. I haven't felt this sick since I don't know when. Yesterday was my first day back at the office with e-bike commuting. Normally I use the lowest ECO assist setting...had it in the highest POWER setting all the way home.

Around here (Northeast) it was Type 1 Influenza that was nailing everyone despite getting the vaccine.

At least y’all who got the flu are already prepped for summer bikini season with your thin bodies.
