wife works on Sunday so I can't or I would show up to ride with yall. I did this ride like 3 weeks ago and was awesome, you guys going to have a good time.

Also when you park make sure you get a bracelet. The guy did not give me one and got stoped by a ranger. She was really cool about it, apparently happens a lot but might as well just ask for a bracelet and not have to deal with it.

I can’t make this week; kiddos first birthday party.

I just did two huge (for me...) Yosemite hikes and I’m sitting at my hotel in the hot tub with aching legs; but if I’m feeling good a big Sunday ride in the works.

R3 - I’ll PM you for some local intel!

It was a beautiful day and place to ride. I met up with efixler and road Mohonk and Minnewaska from around 9 to 1:30. Couldn't have asked for better weather!

That's great guys. It's really a great place to ride, and it was a particularly lovely weekend, weather wise.

The only downer is that some of the carriage roads can get a little crowded with other cyclists on rented townies, climbers wandering around and dog walkers with 65' leashes, especially on the weekends. There are enough miles of roads that this is a minor inconvenience though, i would say.

It really wasn't too crowded until we came to the end of the ride near the closer we came to the west trapps and upper parking lot areas.

Looking forward to doing it again soon!

The Mohonk side is not as pretty at the Minnewaska side, but it's nearly deserted event at midday on a perfect Saturday, unless you are within 1/4 mile of the hotel, or if you're on the the 1/4 mile stretch of Undercarriage Road where the rock climbers climb.

On the Minnewaska side, it gets more crowded, but even here, the biggest crowes we saw were on the Awosting Lake-Awosting Falls-Upper Minnewaska Lot axis.

In general it was pretty chill except in spots, definitely getting more crowded as the day wore on.

Let me know if you're doing this again. I'm just putting the finishing touches on my gravel/commuter bike and I'm in Dutchess county. Then again school ends on Wednesday and I'm free most days in the summer.

I've been sidelined for a while as well after knee surgery, just getting back into riding. I'd be up for a nice fall ride up that way!

I would also be up for another ride down at Mohonk/Minnewaska. What would work for you folks?

How about September/October for a nice foliage ride? Just not Oct. 13th, that's the Dirty Apple date down here in Westchester.
