Campy Record Carbon Post Help
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knew what setback these posts are? This is going on the steel frame I picked up. The frame is .5cm longer in the TT than my Moots which has a Deda post at 12mm setback. I’m wanting to match my fits to both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well, that’s a complete bummer. That’s going to set me back on the bike further when my TT is .5cm longer on this frame...I’m hoping I can make it work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You can always move the seat for or aft unless you have the seat maxed out at either end of the rails to get the setback that you need. Also, unless both bikes have the same seat tube angle the .5cm difference in top tube is not comparable.

+1 to check seat tube angle. Seatpost setback to set your optimal saddle position is determined by seat tube angle, not top tube length.

This | Drop a plumb line to the center of the BB and measure your setback to that. Then do the reach to the bars. Take it out of the stem if you have to but the butt to crank thing is important. |

The 0.5* slacker STA will offset the 0.5cm longer TT. Assuming the same setback on both bikes your saddle will be just a bit more than 5mm further forward on the rails on your new bike if using the same post. Reach to the bars will then be the same on both.
Have fun with your new Signal and post some pics of the finished build! |

Probably not as Record is 25mm offset, and if it does you'll likely have the saddle slammed full forward. What is your planned build? Black or silver bits? There are lots of 27.2 options in various offsets in both colors.

If I can’t make it work, I’ll roll a black Thomson Masterpiece in a 0 offset. I’ll see if I can make it worth with the saddle forward. |

A note of caution, since you say steel frame. If the seat cluster is the welded, one piece, tightening, lug type as opposed to a collar. Beware, lotsa of these type can crack the pretty dern thin, Campag carbon posts..seen it 5-6 times. If a collar, turn the collar around 180 degrees, keeps the 'hle' rounder.

I’d turn that collar around 180 degrees as I mentioned.
