The Pro's Closet at it again

A 8 yo Colnago with repaired downtube, ****ty wheels, and 2 generation old Ultegra is tagged at $2,199.99.

Can't wait for the TPC sleeper agents here to "back them up" again.

My assumption is that these guys move through more used bikes than anyone else on the planet and they have a pretty good idea of what a given bike can sell for. You're not a buyer for that bike at that price, so move along.

Luckily it still has 'Colnago' printed on 23 other areas of the frameset, so everyone knows what you're riding.

Yeah that price seems high especially with that ugly patch job on the downtube, yikes.

This ad showed up on my Facebook feed so I clicked on it and it was the only thing I looked at. Wasn't even deliberately looking for a bad deal on TPC.

+1

Either it will sell at that price or they will have to lower it until it does. This is how markets work.

Curious why people seem genuinely offended at prices for things they aren't going to buy.

I see what you're saying but I also see the OP's point too. and full disclosure I have sold a bike to TPC although I haven't purchased anything from them.

But to put a patched job CF bike on their website site for that kind of price seems like they are fishing for a sucker IMO.

Just gotta be discriminating.. no different than picking through the flea-market tables or your local used-car lot.

Here's a gem:

https://www.theproscloset.com/products/moots-ybb-m

Great combo of frameset, groupset, and wheelset - plus the Moots stem/post.

Is it just me or does it kinda look like there's a crack on the N, in the picture of the downtube (not the duct taped side)?
