sram red chain spotter 2.5mm adjusting bolt replacement?

Folks,

My chain spotter adjusting bolt fell off somehow, so I need to know where to find the adjusting bolt.

Perhaps just knowing what the dimensions of the bolt would be good enough to find a replacement at the hardware store.

Does anyone have a bolt that they can measure?

A good start would be your LBS (Local Bike Store) they can often order small parts from suppliers. Have you tried this?

You could try swapping in bolts you have on-hand to see what is similar. Bottle cage bolts or stem bolts might be an option.

If you can figure out the size (M4, M5, etc.) then you can either guess the length or grab a couple options at the hardware store.

Ace Hardware is usually my go-to for this sort of thing and they stock metric stainless hardware with a variety of heads.

I think I might just take the spotter off and take it to the hardware store to see what fits.

Thanks for the suggestions guys...I'll definitely let you know what kind of screw it is when I find out.
