What ratio? Maybe one of those baby cans and a double shot? Chill the shots prior to mixing?

2/3 cup clear ice, squeeze half lime, 6oz Tree Fever, double shot!

Going to play with tonic and ice mixture and perfect. Also going to try cream and simple syrup on weekends.

I do iced coffee quite a bit with espresso, if I'm pouring espresso into a glass of ice and cold liquid I don't cool the espresso at all.

In case anyone in the Boston Cape Cod MV area needs a coffee grinder. $100 for paceliners. New burrs last year

Just stumbled across this thread...

I ordered my Niche Zero last week (August delivery) and my Gaggia Classic Pro, today. Looking forward to getting the counter set up.

Same here, sold my wife on the purchase so we can have one grinder for our two coffees. August delivery is kind of painful, however.

This is absolutely the best grinder + espresso machine available for that price point.

Have had very good luck with Gagik machines. Rock solid and durable.

So, what makes the Niche so special?

For me it's the zero grind retention and the noise - or lack of noise. Also the size - it's easy to move from place to place.

I roast my own beans and use 2 different bags of beans - each requires a slightly different grind setting - also, depending on how I roast them (light, med, or rarely dark), that effects the necessary grind setting too. The zero retention grinder makes these adjustments really quick.

I have my office coffee station and my home one, but I move the grinder back and forth. The Ceado I was using was just heavy - this is much lighter.

I would say that the quality of grind between the Ceado and the Niche are about the same though.

At my company's office in Colorado I had them buy a Gaggia Classic Pro machine - I go there every 2-3 months and stay for a week. I wanted a machine there so I wasn't hitting a coffee shop 2-3x a day. I brought my old Gaggia grinder and left it there, but that thing is such a POS. I think that from now on when I travel there I will bring the Niche with me.

The shop here that turned me on to this combo just pours some over ice then drops a double shot right on top. Either an 8 or 12 ouncer would probably do it - doesn't need to be a science!

Would they be more or less elitist than Paceline Campy-philes?

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, but is that level of coffee ground spray normal on doserless grinders (which is to say, from Rocky all the way up to some of the fancier ones)?

B/c if it is, then it's certainly a plus that the Niche deposits everything nicely into a 58 mm canister that can be immediately inverted into the portafilter
