Many years ago, I had a Raleigh Competition, with tubulars, Sachs Jubilee components, and a TA three arm crankset. After reading an article about custom framebuilders in Bicycling magazine, I had Jim Redcay build a road bike for me. I built it up with DA 7200 components. The first time I rode it, when I turned the pedals the bike went straight ahead, rather than the bottom bracket going sideways. That was my "WHOA" moment.
