Top tube cable guide suggestions?

I have a singlespeed frame without any cable guides, and like to set up a rear brake.

Any suggestions on a good set of guides that will keep the brake cable taut to the frame?

Top tube has a circumference of 110mm, and from what I can see there doesn't seem to be a lot of them large enough. Can they be spread easily without sacrificing their effectiveness?

It sounds like you have an OS top tube with a 34.9 diameter. Is that right? Normally, the dimension is given in diameter rather than circumference.

I prefer cable stops to guides.
I got two of these for the same purpose: https://www.treefortbikes.com/Interl...ing-Stop-286mm

They come in all different sizes including 34.9.

If you just want cable clamps, something like this might work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-C...m/323818275757

Get the ones with the screw rather than just the clip. The clip rotates and looks like crap.

If your top tube is really 28.6, there are more options, including getting the cable at 7 o'clock on the tube rather than along the top at 12 o'clock.

That sounds about right, math-wise. It's a titanium frame. Perfect, these look great. Thanks for sending.

I take it with the Interloc ones you're not forced to run full length housing? Any reason for the preference? Hope to find silver, as aesthetically that will look better on a ti frame.

Though I really just wish it had cable stops to begin with, haha!

I bought two and then don't run the housing.
I just feel that the cable clamps can look sort of sloppy, and when I pick up the frame I invariably jam my hand on the middle one. If I have to carry the bike at all, they dig into my shoulder ... so it's mainly me being a comfort snob.

Yeah, Ti would be OS. IRD makes the 34.9 in silver, though it looks like Treefort is out of them. Somebody must have them.

I have a di2 Ti frame that I am now running mechanical on...I did the problem solves strap on guides and they were fine but looked kinda shoddy.

So, I ordered braze on Ti cable guides for the appropriate tube diameter from Paragon Machine Works. I glued them on with JB weld and they work and look awesome! Highly recommend this option as long as you want them permanent

Thank you random forum bro. I've got a bag of cable guides for my old steel Schwinn that I've delayed brazing on. I'm digging the JB Weld idea!

I used full length housing guides since it is a gravel bike...mine were mounted to my 7/8” dia chainstays so like $8 each:

Mine are rock solid. Rode them all winter, I do about 150 miles a week on this bike (Spectrum Ti gravel).
