AR Cycles "Evil Dr Frost" steel road bicycle

My wife has an alter ego, the Evil Dr Frost. That is the theme of the bike.
She has some fit challenges, like long leg and shorter torso, and lack of flexibility in the hips from injury. So a tall head tube and sloped top tube were the solutions, along with the custom tall stack stem. Bars can be 1cm lower to 1cm above her saddle, which was the main goal.

Aaron delivered just what was asked for and took the theme and ran with it, providing a lovely paintjob to accentuate his beautiful frame. he was a pleasure to work with the entire process!
features include: thinned lugs, internal rear brake routing, stainless stays and headbadge, and the custom aero steel fork with room for 28mm tires. im sure theres more im forgetting.

here was my vague inspirational picture:

here is the resulting bike:

and that iceberg fade paintjob!

Built with Potenza 11: mid cage RD, 50-34 crankset, and 11-32 cassette on this one. Chain set up to work fine with the 12-27 as well. Potenza is more annoying than the other stuff. weird non drive arm, annoying getting the cables into the levers, and 14mm allen wrench for the crank bolt? seriously? But once its set up, it shifts really nice. The rear brake is chorus because its all i had in silver. front is potenza, because the chorus barely cleared a 28mm tire, but the potenza looks like it could clear a 32. Campagnolo is weird. anyone want to trade brakes??? my black potenza for silver? or silver chorus for silver potenza?
Its maiden voyage will be tomorrow.

Incredible. It's been fun watching this come together in Aaron's posts. I forget, did he do the paint too? Looking forward to the ride reports...

Very nice! Aaron's a good dude, been conversing with him about a stem. Would you mind posting a close-up or two or the stem, looks very similar to what I'm after.

Stunning. The stem is beautiful. As is the rest of the frame. Love the head tube badge. Great tie in.

The best part of this whole transaction was being able to hand deliver the frame and be hosted by a great individual, oh and ride some insanely fun gravel!

just in time too, the whole of Southern Oregon seems to be on fire at the moment. Im not sure how much quality riding will get done here in the near future.

Bike rides amazing though, tracks like a champ, fits perfect, takes the hammering from my wife and gives it right back.

thanks again Aaron. great bike!

This is a really fine bicycle that rides as well as it looks. and it comes in just under 20lbs as pictured according to my new park scale. My wife is very pleased.
