Looking good man! Glad I could help. Cages are proper as are the plugs. Enjoy that bike. I already miss mine. On and I recommend Veloflex man. That is what I ran on my Tommasini and they were butter not to mention Italian!

I presume they call it a 60cm. Its 60 c-t and the tt is 58c-c. I didn't purchase it, all I know is that its comfortable. My dad purchased it new and passed it on to me when health problems prevented him from riding it. He had carbon record 10 on it at the time, and with his permission, I backdated it to alloy parts like it had when I was a kid. The crank arms and shifters are actually remaining from his original build in 1996. I had acquired them from him in the early 2000s after he switched to 10spd. The carbon 10spd stuff now lives on a Colnago Mexico that doesn't have the sentimental value. (I.e. I'm not afraid to travel with it or ride in poor weather)

I've thought about the modern round alloy or titanium post. I just thought an aero profile post was a better fit. My dad actually had a titanium record post on it when I was younger but he swapped it for carbon to match the levers and cranks. I missed out on acquiring that part

I'm bumping this for tire advice.

I am a veloflex guy, and want to go with a pair of Roubaix tubulars, but I'm not 100% sure I want to try going for the first time with a $90 tire

Tan sidewalls is a must, and I'm also leaning to a 25.

Options I see:
22mm Deda Olimpico $50
25mm vittoria cors sc $60
25mm challenge strada $70
25mm veloflex Roubaix $90

Has anyone experienced more than one tire on this list? Thoughts on glue? Would it be foolish to use tape?

If I can get up to the cabin, I can get the wheelset off my white Kvale.

I have Veloflex Roubaixs on it right now.

You are more than welcome to take them for a few weeks for a test drive.

Or bring your Tommasini up and we'll toss on the wheelset from my wife's
De Rosa. She raced with Vittorias and there is a fresh set on there right now.

Another option is our swap meet that's coming up. If I find a nice set of tubs at a decent price I could pick them up.

I also have a set of Arenbergs, but they aren't tan, stretched or glued. I picked them up at our swap last year for $70. For the pair!

Casey, if I can glue, you can glue. If you don't trust me, we can run them over to the shop and have Tom do it.

I go every year.

Bringing a couple of bikes to sell. A very nice Salsa La Cuz and a Bridgestone MB-2. The Salsa wont last. It would make a great Almanzo bike for someone.

They'll be in the corral if they make it there. I sold one last year in the parking lot on the way in and two more in the corral.
