Sometimes it is all in the details (and forum assistance)
When I originally put my Tommasini together, I wanted the appropriate 'Tommasnini' cages. Due to availability, I settled for some ciussi inox cages.
With the help of Liv2RideHard, I now have the appropriate cages. He also included some Tommasini bar plugs. Here is a picture comparison. I think it is a much better match: |

Oh, and new tires will be here for spring.

Looks good, I hope you got two. It sounds like the Tommasini is going to miss out on mid winter slush rides though.

Any you we correct. No slush rides for this one. I have a bianchi more equipped for such things. Besides, I can't have the Tommasini dripping on our carpet when I get home |

Beautiful! Oh man that's nice.
Another option for tires: the Vittoria Corsa SCs. Definitely the right look, and I like their ride very well. |

Does the corsa sc have any benefit over a veloflex? I've been very happy with veloflex clinchers.
I hear good things about the deda tires and they are much cheaper as well. |

It's heavier and made in Asia. Is that an advantage?

That's why I ask. If I'm spending corsa sc money, I think I will just go veloflex.

Very nice except the post. If they didn't cross drill the aero section, I think they would look cleaner, nicer. Atmo.

I wanted a c-record post but couldn't find one long enough. Option two was a miche primato (same post without cross drilling) but they are no longer made and the supertype was easier to find. Overall, I am pleased but would consider changing it if I found the first two options. The holes do match the cutouts in the shifters so there is that.

Looking good man! Glad I could help. Cages are proper as are the plugs. Enjoy that bike. I already miss mine. On and I recommend Veloflex man. That is what I ran on my Tommasini and they were butter not to mention Italian!
Cheers. Guy

I understand. It would be great with a record aero post. They just look cool. The bike looks great. Always liked them. Especially the color and paint on it. They always did beautiful airbrushing on that model. What size is it? Another option is a round Campagnolo post. |
