R.I.P. Bruce Gordon.
Bruce Gordon died today. A true giant. A really nice grouchy guy. Godspeed Bruce.

Takes one to know one....
RIP Bruce. (Who did indeed sound grouchy the one time I called to ask about something.) |

He was a giant of framebuilding. I got to meet him a number of times but can't say I knew him - I wish I could.

RIP Bruce, you were always so kind to my wife and she adored you. We enjoyed "most" of the conversations we had, always over a beer or, later, an Arnold Palmer.
So much more I want to say, but know this is not the right venue. Better call my wife. Last edited by donevwil; 06-07-2019 at 06:44 PM. |

What a shame. I talked with him at NAHBS, and have one of his bikes.

Dang. :-(
On his blog he was just talking about visiting France in springtime 2020. Godspeed, Bruce. Keep selling tires and making those witty Schnozola bicycles. |

A good hearted grumpy SOB. A Curmudgeon's Curmudgeon. An influence on cycling that resonated.
Was fortunate to have some spirited phone conversations with him and meet him at, or well near, NAHBS in 2013. Sad to hear. Time to take the Rock-N-Roads for a spin. |

I read this and my first thought was that this is bull because he didn’t get enough time to enjoy retirement.

The retirement interview with Bruce Gordon on Bikerumor. Some good insights.
