Why's that?

I've ridden a few sets of 404's, a front 808 with Super9 disc, Hed Jet 6's, Hed Stinger 6's, Stinger 9 front with Stinger disc..........I never thought any of them were bad. The jets obviously had the best braking due to their aluminum rim. And I've never had any issue controlling any of the above wheels in windy conditions.

the 404's I had were just dead to me... not fast, didn't hold speed and didn't handle crosswinds well either. I'm had 202, 303, 808 and Super9 as well and have very positive memories of those.

Correct. He built my Maglia Rosa. Steve H took me over to meet him. Cut and miter tubes, out 'em in a jig, tack with adhesive, then carefully wrap the joints with tiny pieces of carbon fiber, then bake at 275 degrees for __ hours and BAM!, you have a frame.

I had a pair of the MF clinchers. Really enjoyed riding them. Felt really fast and plenty stiff in a sprint. Didn’t seem to be affected by cross winds like a 45mm deep aero spoked wheelset. Just too bad they delaminated while stored in wheel bags while I was putting together another bike…….shortly after the company went belly up.

Peter Graham is building our carbon frames and was employed by Mad Fiber as Production Manager. He was not involved with the design of the wheels nor was he involved in any financial or ownership capacity, afaik.

Perhaps a wee more involved than this - with more steps and a few years of expertise involved - but not wrong...
