i have a zanc road bike, and if you like the ride of aluminum, paul at RL is a good choice and well within your budget. seems to me that custom right now is in demand and i think you will have a hard time finding many builders to deliver in 6 months or less, but there may be some out there.

My gravel bike is an aluminum CAADX, it rides just fine on gravel. Doesn't do so well when getting sandwiched up against a galvanized steel guard rail in a crash, but A) that's not its intended purpose, and B) there aren't many guard rails if you're riding off road, so... |
