MNT friendly
what was the coach thinking with that line-up? made no sense
i'm glad i didn't waste time watching it. 3 MLS level forwards starting... Yikes one really really ridiculously lucky goal... btw, i'm looking forward to Germany playing the Netherlands ---------------------------------------- Also, Brian Clough deserves more credit. How many teams has won back-to-back European Cups? Klopp may be a bit high on that list ---------------------------------------- ETA: to see why Pep is highly regarded, one only has to look to Raheem Sterling. I joked three years ago that Mr. Sterling's trajectory was going the way of the £ (this was right after the Brexit vote). Then Pep took over, and Pep has made a whole world of difference. Pep (with Sterling's own dedication) oversaw the transformation of the player with £50M worth of potential to one of realized potentials. Witness his second goal today. Quite a sublime effort under pressure, one he might as well shanked a few years back. Though I guess it is fair to ask if Pep is nearly as good as his mentor was Sacchi also deserves high praises. let's see, they are playing in Amsterdam. Last time they played there in a game that meant something (only last October), de Oranje gave des Mannschaft a royal walloping. They then went on to tie des Mannschaft in injury time on the reverse fixture.
Something tells me that Chancellor Merkel's boys are in for a helluva time |

wow - didnt expect this - thought it would be much more competitive. First goal was a slip - defender lost his man and 2nd goal vanDijk was screened/picked by Dumfries. Dejong needs to be more involved - he disappeared. Still another half to go.

bullocks!
Cap'n America is injured, yet again... That insouciant lil chip though (and great first-touch assist from Zardes). Holy sh**, I just typed the words "first", "touch", and "Zardes", and it was about something positive that Zardes did... |

USA knew that Chile liked to press high yet were unable to deal with it - clearly couldnt be lack of preparation. They must have practiced playing the ball out the back, yet were still so ineffective. Frustrating!!! |

That is quite the contract Bayern have given Lucas Hernandez. And they've already signed Pavard for next year as well. Interesting.

68 mil (5 years - will still be in his prime) but he may require surgery.

Is it just me, or is Zardes waaaay better when he tries to one touch things in a direction (shot or pass) instead of trying to control the ball for a second touch move? |

fewer touches he has, less the chance that an inevitable "Zardes touch" occurs |
