I get the "wear a hydration pack" thing, and in fact own several.hydration packs of differing bladder and cargo capacity. Sometimes the ride demands it. But if you can get the water and anything else you need on the bike instead, keeping your back free to evaporate sweat as evolution intended, the ride is so much better. Designers and engineers who ride get this, and we are seeing new shock placements that improve kinematics but also allow for a full size bottle in the triangle, internal storage in the frame, and a raft of third party bag makers with solutions for stashing a repair kit, jacket and a snack. Free your back!

And to keep the thread on track - you want King cages on that Lobster.

I have never had a King Iris cage throw a bottle on a mtb or gravel ride. I also use King Ti, Silca and mandible on my off road bikes!

Big fan of King cages, but I've got Wolftooth ti cages on my MTB and they're pretty darned equivalent (which is to say great). They come in pretty colors if that's your thing.

Arundel DTR or STR

Unless you’re going on epic rides you wanna keep weight off your back. Ditching the pack is prob the best thing I did for my riding. I have one Arundel cage and a wolftooth b-rad mount for tools/co2 on the seat tube mounts.

If you choose bottles over a hydration pack, go with Blackburn mountain bike specific cages. Inexpensive, bulletproof and extremely secure.

For a full suspension bike with tight spaces, these are a great option. As mentioned elsewhere, keep a tight grip on your bottle.
