Need a new helmet

Crash today. Sand in a corner. Went down really hard, head hit the pavement and again my Giro did it's one job. Keeping with the one strike and you're out rule, I need a new one.
Giro has save my skull several times so I think I'd like to stay with them, but I'm open to a possible change.
This was a Synthe. What's that in the Giro line these days? Any other favorites?
Oh, bike is mostly fine. Few scrapes in tape and saddle. I feel like a ran into a wall, but should be ok.

Just picked up an S-works Evade 2 and am really impressed with the feel and ventilation.

I hope you recover fully and quickly from the spill.

Giro does have a crash replacement (I believe it's limited to 2 years after purchase), IIRC it ~30% off.

BRand loyalty is understandable but all helmets are tested to the same standards so pick your favorite color and style.

I prefer POC octal for their simple design with massive vents that works better than any helmet I’ve tried thus far for ventilation, and it has nice holders for sunglasses.

I have an odd helmet addiction, same goes for shoes, but I've tried a BUNCH of different helmets in past few years and currently have a Abus Gamechanger that has been my main go-to lately.

It's a great helmet: very comfy, great ventilation, and it's the first helmet in a long time that doesn't look like a mushroom on my head.

Oh and not that it matters, AT ALL............but the worlds best cyclist wears one too again not that it matters (ha, kidding, it totally matters )

I have a Evade II that I've barely worn that I'll make you a deal on. It's too hot for Florida riding but it's aero af and you'll feel a difference. Check the classifieds if interested.

I need to look for a new one in a couple weeks too.

Standards are standards but they are on head forms, not YOUR head. Every head is different and helmets come in different shapes.

If a different brand fits your head better that may be better. Since bicycle helmets now cost as much as some motorcycle helmets I wish the bicycle helmet manufacturers were denoting head shapes like motorcycle helmet manufacturers. (I'd imagine auto helmets are the same as motorcycle ones.)

Yeah, that'd be good except mine is way older than that. Likely needed a new one, anyway

I have a brand new Lazer G1 (non MIPS) in titanium grey, size Medium. Tried it on, did not like the way it looked. So, it just sits looking at me brand spanking new. If interested, I'll sell it for a measely $119 shipped.

I really like this helmet. I find this brand much more comfortable than giro helmets. It was the first brand I tried after many years of wearing Giros…

I second this recommendation. I picked up a Helios this spring. Reasonably light and well vented. According to Giro, more aerodynamic than the Synthe too.

To follow up, I decided to try Giro and the replacement policy. Gave them the info on my years old helmet, and to my surprise, 30% off a new one. I'll probably stay with Giro, and try the Helios.
Thanks for the suggestions and the heads up on the replacement policy.
