ENVE bar routing tips?

I have some ENVE compact road bars and SRAM Force 22 shifters. The bars have recessed channels front and back for housing. The shift cable routes across the bar under my palm and while the hoods have some spacers for pressure relief it’s not perfect. I have the housing pretty tight to the bar and don’t imagine I would get much benefit turning the bodies up to decrease the housing angle.

Do you all just put up with this or ignore the channels and route both together in front?
