Yes. Did not pay for botox treatment.

Wow what a thread....

This thing has made mainstream news apparently. Funny quote/comment on one site:

"Finding her wasn't exactly sprocket science."

every article ive seen referred to her bandages and face bruising as a surfing accident and not cosmetic surgery.

Ok, that’s pretty good. Lots of wordplay opportunity …

She geared up for a long time on the run after a chain of events that precipitated her shifty behavior but law enforcement put the brakes on her ride

Funny, I goggled the locale where Armstrong was caught and guess what showed up for events? Not a particularly good hiding spot given her interests…

So the next legal question is: Given her international flight from justice, will Kaitlin Armstrong be granted bail, or will she be waiting for trail in a jail cell? (I'm guessing she'll be deemed a flight risk and be denied bail)

Article I read said she is going nowhere as the locals have charged her with illegal entry into Costa Rica.

Once that charge is settled she will be extradited to Texas.

She was attending yoga classes under the alias on the passport. The passport belonged to the person who drove her to LaGuardia.

I'm guessing that she'll be behind bars for at least the next 20 years or so of her life.

Next up:

Costa Rican law breaking -
Illegal Entry under a false name.
Time to process - Unknown
Potentially serve jail time - Unknown.

Followed by -
Extradition to the US (Texas) which, according to one of the articles was an ~30 day process.

Followed by -
Full list of charges (not sure if already done, or will need grand jury)
Texas Arraignment
Maybe bail (doubtful, as she's already indicated she is a flight risk)
Legal back/forth with DA's office on charges.
Chance of a plea bargain - High (IMO) as the evidence seems pretty stacked and it may mitigate the death penalty.
If not, Jury Selection and Trial

Hopefully it provides justice, and a sense of closure for the Wilson family.

Separate charges

I'm wondering what, if any, charges will be brought against whomever gave her the passport and dropped her off at the airport.

Thoughts on:
1) Who (IMO, her sister)
2) Charges (IMO, aiding and abetting a fugitive and ?)

Aiding a fugitive and giving someone else your passport are separate federal charges. She might have had a plausible claim to "my sister stole my passport" but that becomes a lot less plausible if she drove her sister to the airport.

Some predictions. . .

--Her lawyer will claim she's the victim of at least psychological, and possibly physical abuse from Strickland

--Her defense will further claim she was temporarily insane because of that abuse.

--with parent's help, she will end up with some sort of celebrity lawyer such as Gloria Alred who will really push the "victim of male abuse" angle.

--Media will play up the poor little caucasian girl angle.

--She will not get the death penalty because woman very, very, very rarely do.

--Strickland's career is done like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Let the wagering begin.

Despite the prognostications here, KA is no Whitey B. Here’s me on a Gary H steel tandem, circa 1990 with BB on the left.
